Fish for Thanksgiving

We just returned from San Carlos Mexico where Eric and I had the opportunity to get some sailing lessons, make some new friends and enjoy eating some local catch for Thanksgiving.

Just a 4 hour drive from the Arizona border is this beautiful little fishing town. We were lucky to have beautiful weather and we met some friends who sailed here from France and invited us to go sailing with them. We brought Leif on board for his first boating experience. Better than a rocking chair, putting a baby to sleep with a boat is the trick!

We met some local fishermen and instead of buying a Turkey we kept it local and brought home a 6 kilo Yellow Tail for dinner. It was delicious!

I am so used to loud Diesel engines while at sea so I find sailing to be a very sweet escape from the noise. It’s so peaceful and I can’t wait to get back on the water!
