Our easy version of Chicken Pot Pie, this family recipe is one of the few comfort foods I’ll add to my menu. I love it because it’s delicious, super simple, and an easy way to use up leftovers.
Salmon Pie
Ingredients
Two layer Pie Crust
- 2 Cup Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 2/3 Cup Shortening
Pie Filling
- 3 Cup Cooked Salmon
- 3 Cup Cooked Rice
- 1 Cup Chopped Celery
- 1 Onion, chopped and sauted
- 2-3 Chopped boiled eggs
- 1 Can Peas and Carrots drained (or use frozen)
- sprinkle with lemon juice
Add sour cream to top
Instructions
- After rolling out your pie crust in to two pieces, Line 13x9 oblong pan with bottom crust
- Add filling to crust. Dot with butter then lay the top pie crust down. Make slits and bake at 400 degrees fpr 30 minutes
