Salmon Pie

Our easy version of Chicken Pot Pie, this family recipe is one of the few comfort foods I’ll add to my menu. I love it because it’s delicious, super simple, and an easy way to use up leftovers.

Salmon Pie


Two layer Pie Crust

  • 2 Cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 2/3 Cup Shortening

Pie Filling

  • 3 Cup Cooked Salmon
  • 3 Cup Cooked Rice
  • 1 Cup Chopped Celery
  • 1 Onion, chopped and sauted
  • 2-3 Chopped boiled eggs
  • 1 Can Peas and Carrots drained (or use frozen)
  • sprinkle with lemon juice

Add sour cream to top


    • After rolling out your pie crust in to two pieces, Line 13x9 oblong pan with bottom crust
    • Add filling to crust. Dot with butter then lay the top pie crust down. Make slits and bake at 400 degrees fpr 30 minutes
